When it comes to evergreen funnels in your business, there is a reason there’s so much hype about it because, yes, they can be absolutely game changing for you in allowing you to have a consistent sales on autopilot.

That’s the dream, right? It’s what business owners want so that they can get out there and start living their life more instead of always being behind a computer.

However, that does not mean that every business is ready for it.

And if you’re not truly ready for an evergreen funnel, you’ll find yourself losing a ton of time, energy, and money in the process.

That’s why, this week, we’re going through the top three ways to know that you’re ready for an evergreen funnel in your business. This will allow you to strategically check off the boxes and know that you’re going into this next level of business with everything you need for it to be profitable and effective for YOU.

Before we begin, I want you to think of an offer in your business that you either want put into an evergreen funnel or already have built an evergreen funnel for.

We’re going to use the below points as a litmus test to go through with that offer.

1. Has Your Evergreen Funnel Offer Been Validated with Sales?

When it comes to building an evergreen funnel, there’s no getting around the fact that there’s a good amount of upfront work needed in order to get the results you want.

From the emails you’re writing to the sales pages you’re creating and setting up all the tech so everything is seamlessly running as it should.

Doing all this takes time for either yourself or members of your team.

Because of this, you’ll want to make sure that the time being put in is going to good use.

This is why you want to make sure that that offer is validated with sales first, so that you can go into this process knowing that it’s going to be worth the effort. (Pssst! We teach this in the Presell + Profit Method™)

This doesn’t mean that you need to have thousands of sales before you create an evergreen funnel, but we do want to know that it’s selling. We want to know that people are looking for what it is that you have.

When people have already purchased this offer from you, it makes it easy to say, “Hey, they’ve been buying from this email. This is the email I’m going to put in the funnel as well. They’ve been buying when I did this on social media. How can I do more of that in the evergreen version?”

You start to see the clues as to what’s making people buy, so that when you do go to automate it, it makes it a lot easier for you and/or your team.

Like I said, putting together everything does take work. So why not make it as easy as possible to get that work done by already having these sales validated being able to pull from those metrics and double down on what’s working?

2. Does Your Evergreen Funnel Offer Have a Traffic Plan?

Your offer has been selling and you know you want to move forward with it, great!

Now we want to make sure that you aren’t building out this entire evergreen funnel, without anyone seeing it. Yep, we’re talking about making sure you have enough leads on the front end.

Having this plan in place ahead of time is going to save you from wasted time and frustration.

Each traffic plan is going to be different depending on your business and offers, however; there’s three ways you can do about this.

  • Organic: This will involve leveraging the power of social media, SEO, podcast interviews and/or guest blogging. There’s so many opportunities out there organically and you’ll get out of it what you put into it.
  • Paid: Because you’ve already made sales, you can take a percentage of those sales that you’ve made from this offer, and put it into paid traffic. As your sales increase, you can take that percentage and to keep fueling additional paid traffic as you scale. This can be in the form of Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest or Google ads.
  • Both: If you’re in the position to do paid traffic than I always suggest doing both because why not take advantage of free as well!

Either way, you have sat down and you have run the numbers of how many sales you need and mapped out a traffic plan for yourself so that there are consistent leads coming into your evergreen funnel.

No funnels collecting dust here!

3. Do You Have a Marathon Mindset with Your Evergreen Funnel Offer?

Yes, evergreen funnels are amazing when everything is and running as planned.

They are what has brought freedom into my own business, and my life, so of course I am pro evergreen funnel or I wouldn’t be talking about this right now!

However, even with all the experience in the world, an evergreen funnel doesn’t come together overnight.

This is where the marathon mentality comes in as you of begin thinking different about what’s in front of you saying things like, “Okay, we’re going to set everything up and going to drive traffic through it. From there’s we’re going to track our numbers, see what those numbers are saying and make changes along the way”

Real talk: My very first highly profitable funnel took six months of testing and tweaking to get it to where I wanted it to be.

Six months.

Does it take me that long now? No. But we all start somewhere and it still takes me a few months, even at this point.

Regardless, those six months I put in paid off for me for years after.

With smaller tweaks made along the way as marketing continues to evolve.

Just like social media, you’ll find yourself asking questions based on the feedback you’re getting (or not getting) and making adjustments as needed. It’s a consistent ebb and flow.

Business is a marathon.
