If you’ve been working with clients 1:1 for a while, you probably already know what it feels like to be capped on your income.

You also know that the answer isn’t always to “just raise your rates.” Especially not when you’re looking for more freedom.

That’s where passive offers typically come into the mix.

However, passive income isn’t some magical unicorn that flies into your business overnight (despite what social media will have you believe.)

For it to be effective and profitable, it needs to be intentional.

This week we’re going over the three things you need to know about passive income in your business so you can move forward in a way that truly serves you and your business.

You Don’t Need to Reinvent the Wheel

That’s right, when it comes to passive income in your business, the answers are already in front of you in your 1:1 work.

So many times people think that they need to create something completely different for their passive offer than their 1:1 services. In reality, the two actually feed into each other.

To do this, you’ll want to ask yourself a few questions

  • What do my current 1:1 clients typically come to me for?
  • What is the process I take them through in order to get from where they are currently (Point A) to the solution they come to me for the most (Point B)?
  • Based on this process, which pieces can be provided passively as a starting point for working with me?

What comes from this will be what you move forward with to PreSell and Profit Before You Create with in your business.

Trust and Time are Not Optional

This can be a tough pill to swallow at first but 100% necessary (and what holds most people back when they ignore it).

I want you to think back to when you were first taking on 1:1 clients.

What did you have to do?

I’m going to guess that you had to test out different messaging, tweak your packages, refine your discovery call process and probably a whole list of other things as well.

Each time you did, you learned more and who you are now is a collection of it all.

Right?

The same thing goes for passive offers.

Just because this offer can be passively sold over and over again, please don’t mistake yourself into thinking that initial creation and launch is going to knock it out of the park the first time. (If it does, that’s cool too but I want to be completely honest with the fact that, just like anything in business, this too will most likely need some finessing)

This is why trust goes right along with time because you’re going to need to trust the process as you’re in it.

Just like when you got that string of no’s from 1:1 clients before. And just like when you created amazing content at first, and heard crickets.

You pushed through then because you trusted in the bigger vision in front of you.

I’m going to ask you to trust the vision again.

Because the “NOW” is going to happen and if you’re not staying clear on your vision, you’re going to fall back into old patterns instead of creating the offers and systems needed for the freedom you crave.

Your mind will try to convince you that 1:1 is the “fast way to money” during this time.

You’ll also question if you have time to do this in between everything else in your business.

These feelings and thoughts are normal.

But the power comes when you keep the vision higher than the doubts.

Promotion is Not Passive

And last, but not least, just because your offer is passive does not mean the promotion of it is as well.

This means that even though you now have a passive offer that can sell over and over again, you are still responsible for driving traffic to that offer.

No matter what the offer it is, building your visibility and your credibility as a business owner is not optional if you want that offer to sell.

You can do this by paying in time (organic reach), money (paid reach) or a mix of both. Either way,  it’s up to you to be the in the front of your business and actually sharing your expertise and what you have so that they know that that offer actually exists.

This is me NOT passive in sharing content with you, even though I have passive offers. 😉
